چکیده
Inclusions in mantle minerals and xenoliths from kimberlites worldwide derived depths exceeding 100 km vary composition alkali-rich saline to carbonatitic. Despite the wide distribution of these melts their geochemical importance as metasomatic agents that altered mineralogy geochemistry rocks, P-T range stability remains largely undefined. Here we report new experimental data on phase relations system KCl–CaCO3–MgCO3 at 3 GPa obtained using a multianvil press. We found KCl–CaCO3 KCl–MgCO3 binaries have eutectic type T-X diagrams. The KCl-calcite is situated K2# 56 1000 °C, while KCl-magnesite located 79 1100 where = 2KCl/(2KCl + CaCO3 MgCO3) × mol%. Just below solidus, divided into two partial ternaries: KCl magnesite dolomite calcite–dolomite solid solutions. Both ternaries start melt near °C. minimum liquidus/solidus surface corresponds Ca0.73Mg0.27CO3 K2#/Ca# 39/73, Ca# 100∙Ca/(Ca Mg) At bulk ≤ 68, melting controlled by ternary peritectic: liquid with 40/68. Based our present previous data, reaction, expected control solidus KCl-bearing carbonated eclogite, passes through °C 1200 6 crossovers 43-mW/m2 geotherm depth 120 37-mW/m2 190 km.

3-Fluorosalicylaldoxime at 6.5 GPa
3-Fluoro-salicylaldoxime, C(7)H(6)FNO(2), unlike many salicylaldoxime derivatives, forms a crystal structure containing hydrogen-bonded chains rather than centrosymmetric hydrogen-bonded ring motifs. Each chain inter-acts with two chains above and two chains below via π-π stacking contacts [shortest centroid-centroid distance = 3.295 (1) Å]. This structure at 6.5 GPa represents the final point ...

Data determined using a multianvil press are given for liquidus phase relations in the system diopside – forsterite – enstatite (CaMgSi2O6 – Mg2SiO4 – MgSiO3) and extend for a limited distance into the larger ternary system diopside – forsterite – quartz at 5.1 GPa. In the system diopside–enstatite, which cuts across the system diopside – forsterite – quartz and divides it into two smaller tern...
متن کاملAccepted Manuscript the Fe-c System at 5 Gpa and Implications for Earth's Core
Earth's core may contain C, and it has been suggested that C in the core could stabilize the formation of a solid inner core composed of Fe 3 C. We experimentally examined the Fe-C system at a pressure of 5 GPa and determined the Fe-C phase diagram at this pressure. In addition, we measured solid metal/liquid metal partition coefficients for 17 trace elements and examined the partitioning behav...

A b s t r a c t L i q u i d u s phase relationships in the system MgSiO3-SiO2 at 5.0 GPa have been determined using a multianvil apparatus. Compared to phase relationships at 1 atm, the MgSiO3-SiO2 phase diagram at 5.0 GPa is significantly different in two respects. First, the composition of the eutectic between MgSiO3 and SiO2 moves from 65.0 wt% SiO2 at 1 atm/1547°C (protoenstatite-cristobali...
